We at ICP receive enough inquiries from COUPLE COMMUNICATION instructors about materials for the CORE COMMUNICATION program that we want to provide some of the highlights here and then point you to the web site for CORE for the details.
CORE teaches the same frameworks, skills, and processes as COUPLE COMMUNICATION does, yet it is directed to individuals and the exercises are designed for individuals rather than for couples. A major assumption guides the CORE program. The assumption is: It takes only one person to change an interaction. (This means that if one person uses the communication skills in an interaction, that person can impact the interaction positively, even if the other person does not know or use skills.)
The CORE program has been used successfully in the following contexts: staff development, life coaching, single parent groups, men's/women's/single's groups, and college/university/seminary courses.
The materials for CORE include the following:

For instructors-
As a trained CC Instructor, you are eligible to purchase CORE materials. However, if your training only covered CC, we strongly urge you to attend our current two-day workshop (which covers both CC and CORE) for updating and explanation of differences.
