Promoting COUPLE COMMUNICATION Through Men's Groups

Certified COUPLE COMMUNICATION (CC) Instructor, Roy Anderson, has for many years, maintained a thriving marriage ministry in a large Seattle, WA church. CC plays a prominent part in this ministry. Roy says that men's groups have proved to be one of the best places to recruit participants for the couple program. In his church, the men's groups meet in various formats, including: a weekly morning prayer group followed by coffee; a monthly breakfast study group; and a twice yearly large gathering. Regularly, in any of these formats, Roy has asked a man who has previously participated in COUPLE COMMUNICATION to give a testimonial about how CC has impacted his marriage. (Roy also shows the 5-minute COUPLE COMMUNICATION Preview Video.) Roy has found that once men encourage other men to attend the CC program, the wives of those other men have been happy to take the class with them.

Single men, who are part of the men's group at the church, develop an expectation that they will participate in COUPLE COMMUNICATION once they are in a serious relationship. In fact, this has turned out to be especially helpful for men who have been divorced.

The COUPLE COMMUNICATION Program at the Seattle church has been so successful that one session was taped by NBC to be aired on the Today Show (at the same time Sherod Miller appeared on it) recently.

If you have found a particularly successful promotional method for the COUPLE COMMUNICATION Program, please let us know and we will be happy to share it, too.
